Eric Alfred Neumann My dear father fought a valient fight with cancer and passed away on November 10, 2007. Words can not express the deep sorrow and loss our family is feeling. Our deepest appreciation to all the dear friends and family who supported us through this difficult time. Here is an article written about my Dad while he was sick. River Reporter Article |

| March 2008 Corbiere Connections While updating my family tree on Ancestry.com a little leaf blinked letting me know there was someone with similar information to my Corbiere branch. I investigated and found the first family of Louise Corbiere. I contacted the person who posted the information. A few emails were traded and we determined that we had an exact connection. Since then we have been trading information to fill in the blanks. When Louise immigrated to the US from Canada she met and married James Molinari and they lived in Sault St. Marie, Michigan. Four children were born Samuel born 1916, Rose born 1918, Harold 1919 and Mary born 1921. For whatever circumstances Louise abandoned her children in a hotel room in Chicago in the 1920's. From there she met my greatgrandfather, Jack Buynar and the rest is history. 3/08 February 2008 Welcome Buynar Cousins Alfred Buynar's children, Charles, Janet, Virginia and Alfred, originally from Pittsburgh, PA contacted me at Christmas time and are so excited to have extended family. I welcome them with open arms and an open heart. A reunion is being planned sooner than later! 2/08 Corbiere at Last My grandmother, Esther, never knew her mother, Louise, maiden name. Louise died in 1938 when my grandmother was 9 and she never remembered correctly what her surnmae was. We only had a few clues, Louise was from Canada, she was Indian, she may have had another family. On my grandmothers birth certificate it lists Louise's surname as Sorier, but I had no luck with that search. On Louise's death certificte it states her place of birth as Excelsior Canada. That didn't help much either, it was only a post office some where in Alberta Canada. Over the years I tried many searches on Ancestry.com and then they uploaded marriage index to Florida and BINGO! There they were, Jack Buynar and Louise Corbiere, married in Broward County, 1933. Happy tears. I ordered an original copy of the marriage certificate and searched for any and every Corbiere in Canada. Through the Canadian Census I was able to locate Louise in the 1901, 1911 census on Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Canada. I sent out messages on message boards and people, some distant relations, contacted me and supplied me with pictures of Louise's father and a family tree that goes back several generations. My grandmother would have been so happy to know all of this. She also would have been pleased to know that her name Esther was also Louise's mothers name. 2/08 Hello Neumann Last summer I was contacted by a Neumann cousin from southern California. It has been a pleasure to get to know Starlet Vinci and her family. We always have lots to talk about and love to share Neumann stories. There may be many miles between us, but there is a great family connection that will keep us together. 2/08 |
